New Year's Day Soup Shoot 2008
The weather was perfect this year and everyone really enjoyed shooting. Many thanks to the Soup makers, it was very welcome and also warmed up cold hands. Jan White's desserts were excellent as usual and if anyone had made a New Year's resolution to go on a diet, it was soon forgotten.
Well done to Andy Wright who won with a handicap adjusted score of 1489 and to Kevin Cassidy for reducing his handicap from 43 to 34. If anyone sees Kevin without his medal then he must buy them a drink!

New Year's Day Soup Shoot 2007

Some 30 FoBB members braved the rain and subjected themselves to the outside weather conditions to hold the first Club Tournament of 2007. With the promise of hot soup buttered rolls and cake to follow a "Frostbiter" round was completed, even without the frost. The shoot is on Handicap and very much to his amazement the trophy was picked up by Ian Mould, a beginner from the 2006 summer courses, shooting well above his own recently acquired handicap.
The GNAS Handicap medal is traditionally awarded on the day each year and this time was awarded to Andy Ralph. Andy has significantly improved his shooting over the year and has been rewarded for his efforts. Andy was the recipient of the Trophy awarded to Ian Mould this time last year.
