Our May Challenge shoot was well attended with eight other clubs being represented. The round is an Albion and is a Team Event, no individual awards are given. We invite Clubs to send 6 archers, of which they select 4 scores post shooting. Also, the basic team consists of three Recurve and only one Compound. Additional Compounds are penalised by the difference between the First Class score for that round, that's 100 points; no Compound then you get 100 points added. The winners this year, Southampton were represented by only five competitors and all recurve at that. They did very well.

The Lady Paramount Pat Williams is seen presenting the trophy to Sally Allen. Considering the weather we have endured this "Spring" we were very fortunate to have only one downpour, this prompted an early lunch. The shoot then continued without further hindrance.

A Knockout competition followed the final 'END' and a Bar-B-Que to follow while the scores were being confirmed. Competitors managed to sit around in the field chatting and eating for some time prior to going home.

A good day was had by all I do hope and we are now looking forward to next year.

Our thanks go to all the FoBB members shooting and those helping with the cooking and the continuous flow of tea and coffee.

Brian Williams.

I have not listed the relative positions of these Clubs since I do not like identifying who came last; the shoot is a Team event and we are most appreciative of all who take part in what we endeavour to make into a pleasant social occasion.

If anyone requires confirmation of their individual results for club or county record purposes then please get in touch with us.
